Textile Industry Effluent Treatment Techniques

چکیده
Dyes and other chemicals laden wastewater is a main environmental concern for increasing the textile industries in many parts of world. Textile consume different kinds manmade dyes or release huge extents highly polluted water into environment. This excessive dye has great impacts on photosynthetic activity aquatic plants animals, example, fish. It may also affect human health due to presence components like heavy metals chlorine dyes. Thus, effluent from must be treated before discharge body. Treatment technologies observed this review paper include biological treatment methods (fungi, algae, bacteria, microbial fuel cells), chemical (photocatalytic oxidation, ozone, Fenton’s process), physicochemical (adsorption, ion exchange, coagulation, filtration). includes hybrid their cost per m3 analysis. There are alternative treatments systems at steps generated operational unit recommend work.

Review Paper on Various Techniques used in Effluent Treatment of Textile Industry
Textile industries have their own importance in Indian economy. It consumes large amount of water and as a result huge amount of waste water is generated. Textile effluent comprises of suspended solids, mineral oils, residual oils and is characterized by high BOD (from 700 to 2000 mg/l) and COD loads. It is necessary to treat the waste water so that it does not have any threat to the environmen...
متن کاملRemoval of Dyes from Textile Industry Effluent: A Review
Effluent from the textile industry contains toxic compounds. These compounds contaminate the surface water, thereby making it unfit for irrigation and drinking. Since farmers use water from the rivers for agricultural purposes and the residents of the town, use both the surface and underground water from the same area as potable water, it is quite unsafe to discharge this effluent into water bo...
متن کاملC.o.d Reduction of Reactive Dyeing Effluent from Cotton Textile Industry
The present study focuses on the improvement in the effluent treatment for the effluent generated from a cotton textile industry employing three reactive dyeing methods viz., Exhaust method, Pad-Dry-Cure method, and Pad-Batch method. Stabilisation pond, aeration tank, and aerobic biological treatment (using E-Coli type bacteria) are simulated in the laboratory in a series operation. Results rev...
متن کاملPhytoremediation of Textile Industry Effluent using Aquatic Macrophytes
Introduction Pollution can be defined in several ways. Water pollution occurs when energy and other materials are released into water. It includes all of the waste materials that cannot be naturally broken down by water. In other words, anything that is added to the water, above and beyond its capacity to break it down, is pollution. In certain circumstances pollution can be caused by nature it...
متن کاملCotton Textile Processing: Waste Generation and Effluent Treatment
This review discusses cotton textile processing and methods of treating effluent in the textile industry. Several countries, including India, have introduced strict ecological standards for textile industries. With more stringent controls expected in the future, it is essential that control measures be implemented to minimize effluent problems. Industrial textile processing comprises pretreatme...
